What Is The Most Cost-Efficient Temperature For Your Thermostat?
With energy costs on the rise, what can we do (other than just feeling the cold in the chilly winter months) to make our heating systems more cost effective?
It turns out that really small changes to the ways in which we use our thermostats and boilers can save us money on our energy bills.
How Does Temperature Impact Cost?
The temperature will, of course, impact the cost of your energy bills if you use heating or cooling systems to regulate the temperature in your home or business. When you adjust your thermostat to increase or decrease the temperature, your heating or cooling system will need to work harder to maintain that temperature, which can increase your energy usage and costs.
In general, the higher the temperature you set on your thermostat, the more energy and money you will spend on heating or cooling your home. For example, if you set your thermostat to 22°C instead of 20°C, you might need to use up to 10% more energy to maintain that temperature, which can lead to higher energy bills.
