Boiler service Procedure
Here at Allen&co, we aim to be transparent it is important that you are aware of our boiler servicing process so that you know what to expect. The entire process is explained below for the convenience of our customers.
The engineer from Allen&Co will use protective sheets and shoes
A visual check to ensure that the boiler, its pipework and the flue are positioned and installed correctly. We examine the boiler both internally and externally. We check if the boiler is operating as expected and that it is getting ventilated properly.
Remove the boiler casing checking for any visual leaks
This step is carried out to ensure your safety and to check the boiler’s efficiency. In this step, Allen&co engineer will inspect your boiler checking.
Check all gas pressures. tightness test, standing pressure and working pressure.
Flue gas analysis checks to make sure the boiler is burning the correct ratio of gas and not signs of incomplete combustion which will produce CO.
Fans are working appropriately
All electrical connections and electrodes are in good condition
No seals are damaged
The pipework is not blocked or leaking
Upon inspection, a fault is found we will inform you of the relevant steps and how to get it resolved to make sure the full process of the issues is explained.
Our engineer will then carry out a number of safety checks to ensure that everything is working in accordance with GSIUR 1998 standards.
The information regarding the service will be entered in the service record and will be required if you need a repair visit during the warranty period. Gas safety certificate will be provided.
